We had the pleasure of sitting down with Mitchell Herring, the Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor at Global Brands Liquor, to dive into his fascinating journey and accomplishments. Mitchell is a true force within the company, bringing his youthful energy and unwavering determination to the table.

Throughout his career, Mitchell has faced the unique challenge of managing individuals who are older and more experienced than him. But age has never been a barrier for Mitchell; instead, it has served as an opportunity for growth and learning. He emphasizes the importance of positive leadership and mindset, enabling him to overcome any obstacles that come his way.

One of the most profound lessons Mitchell has learned is that there's always a solution to every problem. With boundless perseverance and a never-give-up attitude, Mitchell continues to conquer challenges, unlocking the potential for success in every situation.

When Mitchell isn't orchestrating seamless logistics operations, he can be found enjoying the company of friends or indulging in his lifelong passion for soccer. For the past seven years, Mitchell has proudly represented the legendary Cardiff City Tigers team in Newcastle, where he plays centre back. Regardless of their position in the league standings, Mitchell and his team know how to have a blast on the field.

Sports play a significant role in Mitchell's life, with Manchester City in the Premier League, Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA, Richmond Tigers in the AFL, and the Roosters in the NRL capturing his unwavering support.

When asked about something he has always wanted to try or learn, Mitchell's shares his dream of skydiving. One day he will take the leap, embracing the thrill of a lifetime.

Mitchell's remarkable journey at Global Brands Liquor began a decade ago in September 2013. Although he initially showed up to his interview in board shorts and a singlet, we could tell his passion and potential were undeniable. Starting as a storeman and cleaner, Mitchell gradually immersed himself in various aspects of the company, from invoicing to sales to operations, eventually becoming the Warehouse Logistics Supervisor.

From a cultural perspective, Mitchell believes in fostering open communication and collaboration. Instead of being an authoritarian figure, he encourages everyone on the team to share their ideas and suggestions, creating an inclusive environment where every voice is heard and valued.

When reflecting on the best thing that has happened to him this year, Mitchell's face lights up with an unmistakable glow. He joyfully shares the news of his engagement to his beautiful partner, Rylee. Love and happiness radiate in Mitchell's life beyond work, adding an extra layer of fulfillment and joy.

As he looks ahead, Mitchell is eager to further develop systems and fine-tune processes within his current role. Professional growth and continuous improvement are at the forefront of his ambitions, as he strives to reach new heights in his career.
