Supporting Local

Newcastle and the Hunter Valley is lucky enough to be spoilt for choice when it comes to locally made spirits, wine and beer.

Whether you venture out and visit them on site or buy a locally made product from your local pub, there are a lot of good quality products to choose from.

Supporting local businesses helps support local families such as Luke and Kimberly Storey from Newy Distillery.

“The business started to support them and their new baby and provide a flexible working lifestyle so they can spend more time with their little one as well as follow their passion for all things spirits, namely Gin.”

At Murrays Brewery they “believe that the greater Hunter region is the best place on earth. Our local region boasts some of Australia’s finest craft beer, craft spirits and wine producers in Australia, and local is what all of them are about.”

“Having venues that support their local farmers, brewers, distillers, cheese makers, and of course cider makers, helps build a culture in that region of identity”, explains Luke from Tilse’s Apple Truck Cider.

“Where ever you go in the world the regions are proud of what they produce. Italians serve Italian wines, the French are famous for their food, wine, champagne, etc. We should be no different. It makes the experience at the venue all that more special and memorable…. it’s something to be proud of”.
